Advanced SLR Photography

Now we're getting serious.

Everyone around you likes the pictures that you take but you have an inkling that you need to take it to the next level. And you can. Advanced SLR Photography focuses on amplifying your ability to make great images by pushing your limits in three areas: technical knowledge, advanced artistic techniques, professional post processing methods.

Technical Knowledge

Stunning Photography requires a lot of creativity and a ton of technical knowledge. You don't need to be a nerd and flaunt it but you've got to know your stuff. We'll take what you already know about aperture, shutter speed and sensitivity (ISO) and add to it. We'll discuss what kinds of lenses are most appropriate to your shooting style and how to explore other technical nuances.

Advanced Artistic Techniques

You are an artist. You've learned the rules of composition, lighting, and exposure and you employ them beautifully. In this class we'll be pushing the envelope and breaking rules (not morally speaking).

Professional Post Processing

You either shoot in RAW or think you are ready to try it out. We focus on RAW post processing using Apple Aperture, Adobe Camera Raw, or Adobe Lightroom. We'll discuss workflow and advanced features unique to RAW post processing.
